Billiard=ball magazine with contact springs - has lifting system for drawers at end of insertion movement

The billiard-ball magazine has a box-shaped housing with one or more compartments open to the front, in the top of which are contact springs actuated by upwards thrust. A drawer sliding into each compartment has recesses in the bottom accommodating the balls, and when fully thrust home these are each at the same distance below a spring and in line with it. Where there are several compartments, their drawers can accommodate different numbers of balls, while the recesses are at different distances below the springs. Each compartment and/or its respective drawer have portions lifting the latter at the end of the insertion movement, typically formed by sloping guide faces. The drawers can be of hard polyurethane foam. ADVANTAGE - Minimises risk of overloading or damage to springs.
