PURPOSE:To make a maintenance operation appropriate by changing a maintenance diagnostic function, which enables service from the side of a maintenance service center, on the side of users. CONSTITUTION:In a computer system 11 to be maintained, the maintenance diagnostic function is defined while being classified into plural execution permit groups to be executed by a remote maintenance service center 21 on a classification definition table 15, and a classification designation switch 14 designates any one of those plural execution permit groups. Then, only the execution of the maintenance diagnostic function belonging to this designated execution permit group is permitted. Therefore, since the maintenance diagnostic function can be permitted/inhibited for the unit of a group from the side of the maintenance service center 21, the maintenance diagnostic function enabling the service can be changed on the side of users by changing the group to be designated. |
