PURPOSE:To provide a machining locus display method for a numerical controller in order to ensure the easy and accurate check of the machining loci. CONSTITUTION:A two-dimensional coordinate space formed by the axes X and Z which are controlled by a machining program is divided into the sections of a fixed size respectively. At the same time, a single piece of picture element data is allocated to each of those sections. Thus the image matrix data are obtained. Then a section shown by a segment connecting the tool position calculated presently and the tool position calculated precedently is specified. The necessary data are applied to the picture element data corresponding to the specified section. In such a way, the machining loci are stored in the image matrix data. Then these matrix data are partly extracted for production of the picture element data. Based on these data, the machining loci are shown on a screen. |
