<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a freshness retaining material consisting of a specific freshness retaining resin, capable of retaining freshness over a long period, having excellent antibacterial and mildew proofing properties and ethylene control characteristics and useful for vegetables and fruits. CONSTITUTION:The objective freshness retaining material containing a resin such as PE, PP or ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and hinokitiol and/or allyl isothioneanate of 0.1-100 pts.wt., preferably 0.3-30 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. of the above-mentioned resin and having 10mum to 1cm, preferably 30mum to 5mm particle diameter. Furthermore, freshness of vegetables and fruits are retained using the retaining material.</p> |
