PURPOSE:To obtain the subject film, excellent in barrier properties without any blocking properties and useful for photography, etc., by coating the surface of a polyester film with a specific coating liquid and heat-treating the resultant film. CONSTITUTION:The objective film is obtained by coating at least one surface of a polyester film with a coating liquid containing fine particulate powder such as silicon oxide or acrylic styrene-based resin having 0.05-15mum average particle diameter and a vinylidene chloride copolymer latex (having preferably 0.1-0.13mum average particle diameter) with, e.g. 85-95wt.% content of the vinylidene chloride and then heat-treating the resultant film at the melting point or above of the above-mentioned vinylidene chloride copolymer. Furthermore, the coating liquid is coated in an amount of preferably 0.5-6.0mg/m<2>. |
