PURPOSE:To obtain the title cord useful for power transmission belts, having excellent resistance to flex fatigue, etc., by retreating a filament group of aramid yarn, first twisting, ply twisting in the direction opposite to the first twisting under a specific condition and bonding. CONSTITUTION:A filament group of aramid yarn subjected to bundling treatment in a no-twist ribbon state is pretreated with an epoxy compound, first twisted, plural yarns of the first twisted bundled yarns are ply twisted in the direction to opposite to the first twist so as to make 4.0-7.0 coefficient of ply twist and a ratio of the coefficient of ply twist to the that of first twist of >=1.25 and the prepared twisted cord (total denier of 3,000-30,000 denier) is subjected to bonding treatment with REL solution to give the objective cord. |
