<p>PURPOSE:To decrease the number of parts so as to reduce the cost by specifying the distance between the end portion of the roller shaft of a driven roller made by an elastic member and the end portion of the roller shaft of a driving roller facing thereto. CONSTITUTION:A registration roller 22 provided on a sheet transport apparatus 21 comprises a drive side registration roller 22a and a driven side registration roller 22b. The drive side registration roller 22a comprises a roller shaft 30 and several driving rollers 32 fixed on the roller shaft 30, and both ends of the roller shaft 30 are respectively rotatably supported by side plates 32, 33. A drive transmission gear 35 is fitted to one end of the roller shaft 30 outside one side plate 32 through a clutch 34. The driving force of a driving motor is suitably transmitted to the roller shaft 30 through the drive transmission pear 35 to enable rotation of a driving roller 31. A distance between the end portion of the roller shaft 36 of a driven roller 37 and the end portion of the roller shaft 30 of the driving roller 31 is made smaller than the half of the length obtained by adding the diameter of the driving roller 31 to the diameter of the driven roller 37.</p> |
