PURPOSE:To provide an air bag device allowing a bag body to be set into an air bag cover and moreover improving assembling work performance. CONSTITUTION:An air bag device 10 is provided with a base member 34, and this base member 34 is formed of a base body 40, a pair of insert material 36, 38 and two pairs of connecting parts 42, 44. This base member 34 is to be an integrally formed product manufactured by punching and bending processes. The fastening work between the base body 40 and insert material 36, 38 can be thereby dispensed with in comparison with the case of both being separate bodies, which results in improving assembling work performance. Also, since bag body insert openings 26 are provided at both side parts of an air bag cover 24, a bag body 20 can be inserted therein and that without making inserting-setting work blind work. Assembling work performance is improved also in this point. |
