In a process for waste disposal, the raw is pre-sorted and prepared, the batches produced after pre-sorting and preparation being reassessed, dumped or incinerated according to their suitability. In order to reduce the part of the waste to be incinerated, a part of the waste containing organic residues found during pre-sorting and preparation is separated and burned together with coal in power stations, heating plants or small heating installations.
