The spindle gudgeon mechanism of the invention for the actuation of locking and securing devices consists of a cylindrical spindle gudgeon (1) permanently guided in the cylindrical aperture (19) of a nut section (2). The surface of the threaded portion (9) of the spindle gudgeon has a thread (3) which mates with the thread (5) inside the nut section aperture (19, 22). The pitch of the threads (3, 5) is such that the threads (3, 5) are self-releasing. If the spindle gudgeon (1) is rotated clockwise about its longitudinal axis (11) with a screwdriver, the point of which can be inserted into grooves (17, 18) in the screw head (6) of the spindle gudgeon, it moves forwards in the aperture (19) in the stationary nut section. During this process it converts the rotary force generated by the screwdriver into an impact load which can act against a counter-load (4) applied to the spindle gudgeon from the front. When fully screwed in forwards, the spindle gudgeon (1) can be fixed by means of a locking slide (8) or a ball or leaf spring catch mechanism (28, 29, 30; 42, 43, 44). |
