摘要 The invention concerns a method of wetting power-station filter ash. Using prior art techniques, the ash is introduced, via a gravity-feed pipe, into a conical curtain of water produced by a ring nozzle supplied with water, where it is wetted and conveyed intermittently, in accordance with a fluid-flow paradox, into an elastic mxing line. In order to ensure comprehensive wetting of the ash particles, the ash is fluidized over the whole cross-section of the gravity-feed pipe and partly or completely rotated as it is introduced into the conical curtain of water formed by the jet, and conveyed along the elastic mixing line, which has a variable diameter. In order to achieve this, the gravity-feed pipe (4) has a diameter which will permit a high throughput and is connected to a feed device which fluidizes the ash. The nozzle outlet orifice (12) is designed with angles of 25 DEG /45 DEG to 35 DEG /45 DEG and the elastic conveyor line (15, 16) is formed by a short length of material loosely wound in several layers. At the open end of the line, the layers of material are disposed so that they can move relative to each other, and the scraper (23) has a flow output in contact with the stream of filter ash.
