In order to compensate for quasi-periodic disturbances in measurement signals, the wanted signal is separated from the disturbing signal by determining from an auxiliary signal a series of trigger moments, a disturbing signal template is calculated from the measurement signal by generating from the disturbing signal template a trigger-synchronous reference signal, and the trigger-synchronous reference signal is used for filtering the measurement signal. This process can be applied after a complete measurement data set has been recorded or at the same time as such a measurement data set is recorded. The process is particularly suitable for compensating for cardio-interferences during magneto-encephalography. |
