The fuel tank for a vehicle comprises a main fuel tank and an auxiliary fuel tank.The auxiliary tank is a flexible vessel (10) which can be selectively coupled with or disengaged from the main tank. The auxiliary tank has an outlet pipe (14) with a coupling (16) by which a connection is made with a coupling (28) on the main tank.A vent arrangement is provided in the cover of the filler pipe (13). ADVANTAGE - Flexible fuel tank which can be fitted in a relatively inaccessible part of the boot to extend the range of the vehicle without encroaching on luggage space.
