<p>PURPOSE:To carry out the aeration treatment of a sewage and the activated sludge pretipitation and separation in a same tank by partitioning an interior of an activated sludge type sewage purification tank by a packing material into an upward flow chamber and a downward flow chamber and providing an air diffusion apparatus to a lower end of the upward flow chamber. CONSTITUTION:In a sewage purification tank 1 according to an activated sludge method, inclined plates 2 are placed in parallel and, moreover, partition plates 3 are provided to an upper end of the inclined plates 2 on every other one to partition said tank into upward flow chambers 5 and downward flow chambers 6. Then, a sewage from an inflow pipe 4 is aerated in the upward flow chambers 5 by the air diffusion nozzles 7 and, thereafter, entered into the downward flow chambers 6 and this procedure is repeated succeedingly. Thereby, a gas phase zone, an oxygen dissolving and diffusing zone, a growing zone of activated sludge and a precipitation zone are formed in the upward flow chambers 5 and a growing zone of the activated sludge and a precipitation zone are generated in the downward flow chamber 6. Therefore, the sewage is aerated and decomposed sufficiently, but the sludge is precipitated in the precipitation zone without providing another precipitation tank.</p> |
