PURPOSE:To save useless energy by projecting auxiliary light based on the changing degree of the brightness and darkness of an object only when the effect of the projection of the auxilliary light can be expected. CONSTITUTION:By a microcomputer PRS, the image information of the object formed on a pair of respective sensor column SNS-1 to SNS-4 is received. Then, the defocus quantity of the area of the object charged by the concerned sensor is detected based on an inputted image signal. Next, the inclination of the image signal (the changing ratio of the image signal, that means, the degree of the brightness and darkness of the object) is calculated. Thereafter, the stroring time of the sensor SNS-1 is investigated by the computer PRS. Then, when the storing time is longer than 100m second, an auxilliary light mode is set. Besides, when the storing time is within the range of 10m second to 100m second, it is decided whether the inclination value of the image signal is larger than a prescribed threshold value or not. When it is smaller, the auxilliary light mode is set. An auxilliary light projection unit AUXL is turned on by making an output terminal CAUXL to 'H' by the computer PRS. |
