<p>PURPOSE:To reduce an error by detecting a condition of different motion vector obtained from a detection area and detecting the panning condition causing an error vector at a point with high correlation to suppress the obtained motion vector. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a motion vector characteristic detection means A11A, a control means A12A and a decision means A13A, the means A11A detects the condition that much correlation is in existence in an object and motion vectors obtained from each detection area differ and detects whether or not the dispersion in the detection vector of each area is considerably much, and the means A12A converts a control output of the means A11A into a gain of a motion vector, and the means A13A selects a median of a detected motion vector discriminated to be valid by an invalidity discrimination means 9 (median filter), multiplies a gain obtained by the A12A and outputs the result.</p> |
