<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a spark between an electric roll and a material to be heated on both heating inlet side and heating outlet side, partic ularly on the heating outlet side having an extremely high temperature, at the time of electrically heating the material to be heated between electric rolls while continuously feeding the material to be heated. CONSTITUTION:A set of paired rolls 20, 30 disposed along the feed passage L of a band steel plate 10 continuously fed are formed of a pair of a pressing roll 21, an electric roll 22, a pair of a pressing roll 31 and an electric roll 32, respectively, and a cylinder for pressing down both the press rolls 21, 31 is provided. An elastic rubber layer 213 is laminated on the outer circumference of the press roll 21, an elastic rubber layer 313 is laminated on the outer circumference of the press roll 31 and a heat-resisting shell 314 is further laminated on the outer circumference thereof. The elastic rubber layer 213 of the press roll 21, the elastic rubber layer 313 of the press roll 31, and the shell 314 are elastically deformed radially and flattened, and the press rolls 21, 31 and also the electric rolls 22, 32 perfectly are perfectly in contact with the band steel plate 10 over the whole width of the band steel plate 10.</p> |
