PURPOSE:To reduce the burden of an operator by setting such areas that are included in the sentences of plural pages and should not be divided as the page eject inhibition designated areas with use of the reforming inhibition designating codes and then printing automatically the character, etc., in the area preceding the inhibited one, in the same page or in the next page. CONSTITUTION:The number of lines is counted in a page eject inhibition designated area (S1), and the remaining blank space of the relevant page is obtained (S2). Then the line feed pitch is calculated so as to store the page eject inhibition designated area in the page (S3). A fact whether the overlapping is caused among the printed characters or not (S4). If so, a page eject inhibition start code is treated as a page alignment code. If not, it is decided whether the line feed pitch is proper or not (S5). If not, the same processing as the preceding one is carried out in a step S7. If so, the improper line feed pitch is changed to the proper one (S6). |
