CONSTITUTION:A first image 2 of high resolving power is formed on an image receiving material 1 composed of a transparent sheet and the thermal transfer layer 5 of a thermal transfer sheet 3 is superposed on the first image 2 formed to the image receiving material 1 and the image receiving material 1 is irradiated with light on the side opposite to the thermal transfer sheet 3 to transfer the thermal transfer layer 5 of the thermal transfer sheet 3 only to the first image 2 formed on the image receiving material 1 to form a second image 6.
