The switchgear controls couch, chair, etc. adjsuters by IR radiation, and has a housing (2) for an IR receiver and the switchgear components. On the housing outside are fitted radiation sensitive sensors (5,6) with a speed protective plate (7). The plate is of opaque material and protects the sensors against direct light irradiation. The housing e.g. contains a mains adaptor and the control switches for the connected operational elements. It has a feed line (3) and outgoing current and switch lines (4). USE/ADVANTAGE - For power adjustment of chair or couch components, with protection against light from ambient sources.
