The goods (2) are supplied in groups to a bundling station (1). A feeder device (3) moves a rubber band (4) into a removal position, during each working stroke. A grab device (5) with four fingers (7-10) takes the rubber band from that position, and inserts and spreads the fingers. A drive unit (6) is used to move object group and rubber bands into a relative position, for the band to engage around the objects. A stripper element (11) removes the stretched rubber band from the fingers, and frees it to engage around the objects.
