摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To suppress production of vibration of a free end part by supporting a long and slender structure (rubber tube), having resiliency, in a cantilever-form state and causing fluid to flow through the rubber tube. CONSTITUTION:A rubber tube 1 being a structure is supported in a cantilever- form state. During damping of the rubber tube 1, a control signal to a control valve 4 is outputted from a valve operation signal generating device 6. A valve 4 is released and a given amount of an air flow 11 from a compressed air tank 5 flows in from the fixed end of the rubber tube 1. Through the flow of the air flow 11 through the rubber tube 1, a damping action is exerted on the rubber tube 1 by a Colioris force and the amplitude of a free end 1a is gradually decreased. The decrease of vibration amplitude is detected by a non- contact displacement gage 2, a displacement signal 8 therefrom is inputted to a valve operation signal generator 6, and a control signal is changed. Thus, the opening of the valve 4 is freely controlled according to an amplitude amount of the free end 1a of the rubber tube 1 and when the amplitude amount is below a specified value, the air flow 11 is stopped. This constitution produces a smooth damping effect without damaging the rubber tube 1.</p>
