<p>PURPOSE:To monitor rotation of many fans with a small number of work regions by grouping a plurality of fans and by not only monitoring them in succession group by group, but also using work regions in succession among groups according to monitoring. CONSTITUTION:A monitor controller 11 uses a microprocessor to count changeovers of rotation pulses outputted from a plurality of cooling fans 10-1-10-6 installed in an information processing system apparatus, thereby monitoring whether the fans 10-1-10-6 are rotating normally. This plurality of fans 10-1-10-6 are grouped one by one or more by more. The monitor controller 11 simultaneously monitors only fans belonging to one group and uses a count work region 12 to check the number of revolution of fans of this group: if no abnormality is found, the controller changes over fan groups to be monitored every predetermined time. This way makes the count work region 12 shared by groups.</p> |
