METHOD FOR CONTROLLING TENSION OF TANDEM ROLLING MILL

PURPOSE:To restrain a tension change on the inlet side of a stand and to prevent the accuracy of sheet thickness from being deteriorated by the oscillation by interference between plural tension control systems. CONSTITUTION:A draft position is corrected and the tension change on the inlet side is restrained in accordance with the tension change on the inlet side of the stand, the variation of a forward slip corresponding to the quantity of correction of the draft position is obtained, the rotary speed of a roll is corrected in accordance with the change of the forward slip and the change of tension on the outlet side of the stand is restrained to prevent control systems of other stands from being effected.
