PURPOSE: To allow users to easily know the current state of printing process in color by multiplexing color signals with selection control signals based on multiplexed output and color signals and variably mixing the output signals to display. CONSTITUTION: When a yellow color as an example is output from an encoder 9 and printed on the monitor, the width of clock pulses inputted to an A/D converter 13 is very narrow, so a monostable multivibrator 11 widen the pulse width and outputs selection control signals to the fourth switch 18. The three output terminals of the multiplexer in the fourth switch 18 outputs red, green, and blue colors, and the encoder 9 encodes these signals and display them as a vertical bar in blue on the monitor. This vertical bar is displayed as green bar for magenta printing, and red bar for cyan printing. |
