PURPOSE: To provide a reception circuit device fitted to a new transmission system by providing two signal processing circuits for a static image and a time-varying image between the fading circuit of a reproduction device operating with the large number of lines and a transmission channel. CONSTITUTION: A 625 line signal is inputted through the transmission channel 13 and is supplied to a motion detector 67. Whether the picture is the static image or the time-varying image is detected. When it is the static image, a signal which is not delayed and signals which are delayed by one field and two field periods in delay circuits 65 and 66 are alternately applied to signal processing circuits 75 and 78. The first line of raster reproduced by a parallel/ serial conversion/compression circuit 75 is derived from the transmitted first line by compression. The second line is derived from a second field by compression. In the case of the time-varying image, it is obtained from the respective lines of the transmission signal in a compression circuit 79 by compression. Thus, the reception circuit device fitted to the transmission system which is transmitted by the large number of lines can be obtained.
