An open-end spinning machine frame is arranged so that each section has a rigid structure consisting of longitudinal members and two end walls. Intermediate partitions are fitted between at least two adjacent spinning positions and are rigidly attached to the longitudinal members. The working parts, i.e., spinning units, wind-up and drives are attached to the longitudinal members and/or the intermediate partitions. The sections can be joined with auxiliary walls which assist in transporting the sections and in erecting the machine on site. The spinning machine has a number of sections joined end-to-end. Intermediate partitions are fitted between every spinning position as load bearing members. The framework members can be extended to carry the rails of a travelling service module.
