<p>An environmentally advantageous method for disposal of organic and inorganic nonmetallic ancillary materials from used vehicles or other mass-produced products, such as washing machines or refrigerators, uses the waste substances as chemically reducing and slag-forming fluxes in the smelting of iron ore in a blast furnace plant or in the production of steel or cast iron in a cupola furnace plant to at least partially replace the substances normally used as fluxes.</p> |
