<p>PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic toner which has good fixing property without peeling and has extremely good dispersibility of the magnetic powder in the resin so that various kinds of defects due to a bad dispersion state of the magnetic powder can be avoided. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic toner contains a vinyl binder resin and magnetic fine particles. This vinyl binder resin features in that (1) the mol.wt. distribution thereof by GPC has two peaks in a low mol.wt. region and in a high mol.wt. region, (2) the resin has 56 64 deg.C glass transition point and (3) has >=20 acid value. The component in the low mol.wt. region has 2.0X10<3>-4.0X10<3> number mean mol.wt. and 5.0X10<3>-7.0X10<3> weight mean mol.wt., while the component in the high mol.wt. region has 1.0X10<5>-3.0X10<5> number mean mol.wt. and 4.0X10<5>-7.0X10<5> weight mean mol.wt.</p> |
