PURPOSE:To obtain a base for hair dressing agent showing strongly setting force on hair, having excellent luster, smoothly combing properties and antistatic properties as characteristics of silicone oil. CONSTITUTION:A monomer component comprising (A) 40-85wt.% (meth)acrylic ester shown by formula I (R<1> is H or methyl; R<2> is 3-5C branched chain- containing alkyl), preferably isobutyl-, sec.butyl- or tert. butyl (meth)acrylate polymerized with (B) 10-30wt.% (meth)acrylic acid and (C) 1-30wt.% silicone monomer shown by formula III ((n) is 1-300) such as (meth) acryloxypropyldimethylpolysiloxane is polymerized to give a base for hair dressing agent. In order to provide a coating film to be formed with flexibility and water resistance, a long-chain (meth)acrylic ester shown by formula II (R<3> is 8-18C alkyl) is added to the monomer component or in order to supply the coating film with proper hardness and flexibility, 5-20wt.% vinyl-based monomer except the above-mentioned monomer may be added as the monomer component. |
