PURPOSE:To enhance reliability of operation by connecting an auxiliary machine for vehicle to the output side joint of first and second DC-DC converters producing approximate voltages thereby sustaining travel of vehicle even upon failure of the first DC-DC converter. CONSTITUTION:An induction motor 1 for running a vehicle enters into regenerative state to produce AC power which is then rectified through an inverter 2 and smoothed 3 and thus obtained DC power is subjected to voltage conversion 7 to produce DC power of 96V, for example, for charging a battery 8. The battery voltage is converted through a DC-DC converter 9 into a DC 28V voltage which is then fed to auxiliary machines such as headlights, starter motor and radio. On the other hand, DC 96V voltage is boosted 12 to 280V voltage which is inverted through an inverter 14 into VVVF voltage for driving a refrigerator compressor motor 17. Furthermore, DC 280V voltage is converted through a DC-DC converter 15 into 28.5V voltage for driving the refrigerator load and the 28.5V voltage is also connected through a diode 19 with the output of the converter 9. According to the constitution, the vehicle can sustain traveling even upon failure of the converter 9. |
