A closed pressure valve (17) lies with its flat surface (16) and seal (14) connected to a piston (13) on one plane whilst a closed suction valve (6) with its flat surface (5) and end wall (4) form another plane defining the stroke of the piston (13). Between the suction valve (6) and pressure valve (17) there are contact zones so that the suction valve can open as soon as the suction stroke begins. A closure element (40,52) is movable by a lever (45) in the opening direction and then the piston (13) is displaceable in the conveyor direction. The resetting spring (35) outside the pump chamber (12) is tensioned between a recess and a flange (34) connected to the piston. The slide guide (30) connected to a dosing head (37) has a turn-round edge (31) which comes to adjoin the stop (32). USE/ADVANTAGE - An intensive suction action is produced to ensure filling of the pump chamber.
