A trim strip 10 with hollow cavities 28, 30 is manufactured by taking an elongate strip portion 12 with at least two legs 40, 42, 44 defining at least one valley between the legs; and bonding a backing strip 14 to the elongated strip portion 12. The trim strip 10 is formed having a hollow cavity 28, 30 defined by the legs 40, 42 and 44 and the backing strip 14. The resulting product is light in weight, but can include a foam filling in the cavities.
