Device for extending poultry shelf life, in particular chicken carcasses, connected to a source of sub-atmospheric pressure and source of protective gas and through a connector to a meat packaging, which is closed with a pneumatic device, characterised in that it is equipped with a control system (1), one output of which is connected with an automatic valve (2) switching the sub-atmospheric pressure source (3) on and off and its other output is connected with an automatic valve (4) adjusting two positions of protective gas inflow from its source (5) to the packaging (10), whereas inputs of the control system (1) are connected with the outputs of a pressure gauge (6), containing two pressure threshold indicators (7 and 8) connected through a connector (9) with the packaging (10).<IMAGE>
