<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a thick film center-type thermal head eliminating the need for dividing printing data into two groups in a control circuit. CONSTITUTION:On a thermal head, a shift register 7 having bit cells D1-DN the number of which is the same as that of heating resistors R1-RN and a latch circuit 8 having the same number of memory cells LA1-LAN are provided. Furthermore, a selection circuit 9 for dividing N data in the latch circuit 8 into two groups by (n)=N/2 in a time sharing system is provided. In accordance with a control signal CNT, the selection circuit 9 firstly outputs (n) data from the latch circuit 8 to a power source line 5-1. After the printing of the (n) data is completed, the circuit 9 outputs (n) data to a power source line 5-2.</p> |
