<p>A ferroalloy of niobium characterized by a microstructure essentially comprising an eutectic matrix (E) and a primary constituent (N) as a niobium rich solid solution, which requires chemical composition in the range niobium from 75 % to 95 %, and iron 5 % to 25 %, with the following maximum contents of residuals and impurities, tantalum = 0.1 %; silicon = 3.0 %; aluminum = 1.5 %; phosphor = 0.2 %; sulfur = 0.1 %; lead = 0.12 %; carbon = 0.15 %; titanium = 1.0 % and tin = 0.15 %, to add niobium to steels, cast irons, or other materials which require addition of niobium as a ferroalloy.</p> |
