PURPOSE:To calculate trapping quantity of ink on the upper side of a second color by measuring any second color regardless of printing order of a first color. CONSTITUTION:By using a color reflection densitometer equipped with calculation and memory functions, solid print parts of a first color are measured in irregular order and reflection density values of color elements are stored. Thereafter, any solid print part of a second color is measured and the second color is decided to be overprinting of an ink with a color having the highest reflection density and intermediate color element as main elements. Ink on the upper side of the second color is decided in accordance with a previously stored printing order, so as to calculate trapping quantity of the ink on the upper side. |
