The printer according to the invention comprises a paper magazine (6), in which paper rolls (9) can be engaged only in one direction, and paper-extracting means (21) which act on the roll (9) in a region of the latter substantially opposite the orifice (5) giving access to the magazine, these extracting means being associated with guide means making it possible to feed the strip successively to a driving device (25), to a printing station (28) and then to an exit slot (8) formed in the front wall (3).
