PURPOSE:To provide a lighting fixture enabling the body thereof to be easily fitted to a mounting surface. CONSTITUTION:An opening section 2 is formed on the upper surface of a fixture body 1, and a peripheral coaming 3 is formed around the opening section 2. Both lower edges of the body 1 are fitted with lamp sockets 4 and 4 for clamping a straight fluorescent lamp 5. A magnet 14 is fixed to a fitting section 6 in the body 1. This magnet 14 is caused to adhere to a mounting plate 23 fitted to a mounting surface 26, together with a locating body 22, thereby fixing the body 1 to a fixture 21. The locating body 22 is nonmagnetic and, therefore, not attracted. Thus, the body 22 can perform positioning function in a lengthwise direction via a tapered surface 24. Also, breadthwise positioning is performed by locating the body 22 in the opening section 2. The peripheral coaming 3 around the opening section 2 of the lighting fixture body 1 is in contact with the mounting surface 26, and the locating body 22 and mounting plate 23 are positioned within the body 1, thereby keeping the appearance of the fixture body 1 free from impairment. |
