This invention relates to a boat, the navigation of which over water, that is to say the forward travel, backward travel and steering is provided solely by the variation in thrust of the propulsive elements (motors, (engines) and screws (propellers) in general), that is to say without any other conventional rudder device such as a plane or thrust which could be orientated mechanically. One (or possibly several) control members transmit the manual or automatic order of the navigator and cause the thrust exerted by each motor (engine) to vary. As a variant, these thrusts, offset with respect to the axis of the centre of pressure of the boat, the two rotational torques become unbalanced and cause the boat to turn. This principle allows the boat to turn on the spot. This concept also makes it possible to produce electric boats which are very simple, have high performance, and are easy to navigate with just one omnidirectional control lever (pillar, stick). <IMAGE>
