<p>PURPOSE:To provide a device whereby the obverse and reverse of an article such as a nut, washer, are accurately discriminated with very simple and plain constitution. CONSTITUTION:The first, second, third, fourth and fifth passages 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d and 3e are arranged successively from above in a space with an auxiliary side plate 2, while bringing respective side ends into contact with a side plate 1, and each passage is tilted in the advancing direction toward the downward direction and the backward direction. Three thin width passage parts 4 are formed in the first passage 3a, and the second passage 3b is extended from a little before the second fine width passage part 4 of the first passage 3a to a little behind the third fine width passage part 4. The third passage 3c is extended from a mounting end side of the first passage 3a to a little behind from a terminal end of the second passage 3b to form a fine width passage part 4 corresponding to the second fine width passage part 4 of the first passage 3a. The fourth passage 3d is arranged between both side ends of the side plate 1 to form a fine width passage part 4 corresponding to the third fine width passage part 4 of the first passage 3a.
