<p>The subject invention relates to mammalian cell lines which express an adenosine receptor referred to as A1. The cell lines may be utilized to screen for drugs which affect the activity of the A1 receptor. The cell lines are created by initially isolating a cDNA encoding the A1 adenosine receptor subtype, inserting the cDNA into a eukaryotic expression vector and transfecting a host cell with the vector.</p> |
