<p>The present invention relates to a method for forming a plurality of channels Vj of the type consisting in summing for each of the channels the sampled signals delivered by each of the hydrophones Hi at a time T0 + Rij, rij designating the delay applicable to the hydrophone Hi for the formation of the channel Vj, the value of said sampled signal at the time T0 + rij being obtained by interpolation from known samples of the hydrophone Hi considered, said method being characterized in that, after calculation of a sample by interpolation of the signal delivered by a hydrophone Hi for a delay Ri = rij, the summation of said sample on each of the channels Vj concerned by said delay Ri is effected before calculating the next sample. The invention also relates to a device for implementing such method. Such method allows to reduce the size of memories required and to accelerate the data processing.
