PURPOSE:To provide a novel oligonucleotide useful as a probe for the detection or confirmation of the transformant in high efficiency, in developing a novel breed having new characters by introducing gene into a plant using genetic engineering techniques. CONSTITUTION:The objective oligonucleotide having sequences of formulae I to VI which are complementary to a nucleotide sequence of gene, where the gene is coded in the DNA of Agrobacterium rhizogenes and is such gene that genes being introduced into plants are the targets of said gene. The present oligonucleotide is recommended to prepare by conventional chemical synthesis or from Agrobacterium rhizogenes. |
