PURPOSE:To obtain the title novel microorganism highly useful for the industrial production of cellulase or protease because of its signitifantly high extracellular enzyme productivity by inducing novobiocin resistance to a bacterial strain extracellularly producible enzyme belonging to Bacillus. CONSTITUTION:The objective mutant derived from a bacterial strain belonging to Bacillus extracellularly producible enzyme. The microorganisms are e.g. Bacillus sp. KSM 635-VKN-1 (FERM P-12141 whose parent strain is Bacillus sp. KSM 635 VK, a cellulase-producible one, Bacillus sp. KSM 2002 N-1 (FERM P-12144), where Bacillus sp. KSM-2002, a protease-producible one is the parent strain, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens IFO 14141 N-1 (FERM P-12147) having Bacillus amyloliquefaciens IFO 14141,an amylase-producible microorganism as the parent strain. The microorganisms can be obtained by mutating the above parent strains through e.g. ultraviolet irradiation followed by culture of the resulting mutants in novobiocin-contg. media. |
