PURPOSE:To speedily decrease pressure of a fuel injection portion after the opening of a solenoid valve portion and improve the controllability of injection finish control by connecting the fuel injection portion to a solenoid valve portion high pressure port, connecting the fuel injection portion to a fuel pressurization portion through the solenoid valve portion. CONSTITUTION:A fuel pressurization portion 2 is provided at the upper end portion of a main body portion 1a of a pump main body 1, and a solenoid valve portion 4 is provided at a projection portion 1b provided projectingly at the side part of the main body portion 1a. And a high pressure port (fuel chamber) 49 and a low pressure port (spill chamber) 42 are connected to each other by means of the opening action of the solenoid valve portion 4, and fuel pressurized by means of the portion 2 is spilt on the low pressure side. That is, a fuel pressurization chamber 2 fuel pressurization chamber 26 and the solenoid valve portion 4 fuel chamber 49 are connected to each other through a spill passage 6 formed at the inside of the pump main body 1. And it is arranged that when a portion 4 valve body 46 is lifted from a valve seat at the time of fuel pressurization, high pressure fuel in the chamber 26 is spilt into the spill chamber 42 through the spill passage 6 and the fuel chamber 49. |
