PURPOSE: To improve a multiplex vehicle control system by performing remote control corresponding to an encoded instruction. CONSTITUTION: A carrier wave modulating an encoded signal from a select switch through a handy transmitter is received by a reception antenna 75, converted into an encoded instruction by a demodulator 76 and subsequently put on a communication bus 21 through a receiver module 39. At a central control station 12, a built-in CPU responds to the encoded instruction and instructs a central controller so as to control a power seat module 37, door modules 35 and 36 or a switch groups 51 of a peripheral device. Thus, an automobile function under the control of multiplex control system integrated into a vehicle can be remotely controlled and made suitable for various kinds applications requested.
