A device for separating acceptable, thin-walled and cylindrical objects 1 from non-acceptable, analogous objects 1, comprising a feed-in device 2 for the objects 1 and a device 6 for individually weighing these 1 and accepting or returning the objects 1 in dependence upon their weight. The innovative aspect of the invention is that the weighing device 6 comprises a downward-sloping non- metallic plate 7, which is pivotably mounted 9 at its highest-situated side edge 8 and which has a permanent magnet 16 at its free, opposite side edge 15, which permanent magnet 16 interacts with the iron core of an electromagnet 17, fixedly disposed at a distance from the permanent magnet 16, for releasable suspension of the free side edge 15 of the plate 7, an over-heavy object 1 on the plate 7 causing the latter to swing downwards and break the interaction of the magnets 16,17, whereby the non-acceptable object 1 drops down in a return chute 20, and an object 1 which is not too heavy being made to roll to a receiving device 22. <IMAGE> |
