The blind (11) is carried on a roller (8), with rewind spring, which is located in a housing (7). The free end (10) of the blind is attached to a rod (12) which can be adjusted axially. The blind is unrolled, or rolled up, by a spring drive acting as a worm (18) in a C-shaped, plastically deformable rail (16) at each side. The extending rod (12) carries a connector (14) with a guide head (15) which engages in the spring drive (18). The latter is actuated by an electric motor (27) turning a shaft (28) which drives through gears (22,24) at each end to turn the spring (18).
