Digital display control circuit for electric hot plates - transfers data using multiplexer and grey code to seven-segment converter, controlled by CPU and oscillator

The display control circuit transfers data via a multiplexer and a Grey-code/seven segment converter (8) to a parallel-serial converter (6). The serial output (Dat) of the latter is switched via a connecting line to a serial-parallel converter (11) which directly controls the digital display elements (12-15). The display (11-15) is controlled by inputs from a control unit (9) and an oscillator (10), via respective connecting lines (T,Sts). Each display element is assigned to one hot plate setting member. The multiplexer, converter unit (8), the parallel-serial converter and the oscillator are pref. formed in a single integrated component. ADVANTAGE - Reduced number of connecting lines.
